Does the Material Kit include stuffing or do I need to buy polyfill separately?

The Material Kit includes enough polyester stuffing for this Elephant. You should not need extra unless you prefer very firm packing.

Roughly how long does it take to finish?

Seller June 28, 2026 2 months ago
Most makers spend about 4–8 hours total, often split across a few evenings. The video lets you pause between sections so you do not have to do it in one sitting.

Does the trunk hold its curve or does it flop flat?

Seller May 14, 2026 4 months ago
A light wire or tight stuffing at the base (shown in the build video) keeps a gentle curve. Without over-stuffing the tip, it holds nicely for display.

Where are rows 8-20? I couldn't find them in the video. Carol

    Not for me

    style: Crochet Kit Verified Purchase

I really wanted to like this, but crochet is apparently not my thing. I got frustrated pretty early and put it away.

  2. Marenby
    The trunk humbled me

    style: Crochet Kit Verified Purchase

I was feeling pretty confident until I attached the trunk crooked. Took it off, tried again, still slightly crooked. We’re calling it personality.

  3. Darby
    Surprisingly cute from the side

    style: Crochet Kit Verified Purchase

The long trunk and those floppy ears give it such a funny little profile.

  4. L.M
    My ears actually matched!

    style: Crochet Kit Verified Purchase

This may not sound impressive to anyone else, but I’m counting it as a major victory.

  5. Nan
    Desk elephant

    style: Crochet Doll Verified Purchase

He sits beside my pencil cup now. That’s his job.

  6. Keziah Lane
    This one felt different

    style: Crochet Kit Verified Purchase

I’ve made a few round little animals before, but the trunk and big ears made this one feel different enough to stay interesting.

  7. Bea
    Lost count. Again.

    style: Crochet Kit Verified Purchase

Pattern was fine. I just apparently cannot count stitches and listen to an audiobook at the same time.

  8. R.J
    Nursery shelf approved

    style: Crochet Doll Verified Purchase

Small, simple, and cute without taking over the whole shelf.

  9. Sienna Vale
    Made a blue elephant

    style: PDF Pattern Verified Purchase

Ignored the gray completely and used dusty blue yarn from my stash. Same pattern, totally different personality.

  10. M.K
    Trunk took two tries

    style: PDF Pattern Verified Purchase

Everything was going fine until the trunk. My first one looked way too short, so I redid it. Second try was much better.

  11. Orla
    The ears got me

    style: Crochet Kit Verified Purchase

Saw the pink inside the ears and that was basically the end of the decision-making process.

Cute as hell once done. Stuffing the trunk evenly was annoying. Videos helped.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We’re glad the videos helped, especially with a trickier part like getting the trunk stuffed evenly. Those small shaping details can take a little extra patience, but it sounds like all that effort paid off in the end. We’re so happy you loved how cute it turned out. 💛

  13. Would buy again

Yarn felt fine. Looking at the dog kits next.

    Gift for my mom

She put it on her desk at work. Instant win.

  15. Javier Webb
    Ears a bit floppy

    Verified Purchase

Face is perfect. One ear flops more than the other and I can’t be bothered to fix it. Still cute.

Thank you for sharing this with us. We’re so glad you’re happy with the face and still find your little one adorable. Handmade pieces can sometimes have their own tiny quirks, and that slightly floppy ear definitely gives it a bit of extra personality. We hope it continues to make you smile every time you see it. 💛

    Solid beginner kit

    Verified Purchase

Not the fastest make. Color changes on the ears were the fiddly part.
